A. All Victorian businesses are eligible to receive the hot water upgrade. To be eligible, you must have an inefficient electric hot water system.
Gas hot water systems can also be replaced but they incur a fee which can go up to $2000. Electric and Gas boosted solar hot water systems are not eligible for the upgrade.
A. Discount fluctuates based on the existing hot water system in place. The final installed price of the heat pump, which includes the discount will depend on several factors, including:
- hot water system type (Electric can be done for free, Gas has less rebate so it incurs a cost)
- certificate price (which fluctuates)
- location
- installation costs
- administrative costs.
